The huge Outlast Trials update, Project Lupara, is out now, and it introduces a lot of new metagame rewards and challenges. One highlight of these new mechanics is Catalogs, the game’s name for what is often called the battle pass in other games. In the case of The Outlast Trials, there are technically two new Catalogs, but one is a rearrangement of mostly previously available cosmetics, while the new Deluxe Catalog is packed with 10 pages of brand-new cosmetic rewards, including three very creepy skins and alternate colorways for each.

You might be surprised to learn that both Catalogs are totally free–even the “Deluxe” one, which is unlocked using Murkoff Coins. As of now, those coins are only obtained as rewards in the other Catalog, “A New You.” They can’t be purchased with real money in-game.

In any case, Outlast Trials Catalogs never expire, which means you need not feel the grind of having to earn all of any Catalog’s rewards before they disappear. The Outlast Trials is Red Barrels’ most successful game to date, and the new metagame materials give the co-op horror game more reasons for players to return to it frequently.

The Project Lupara Deluxe Catalog rewards can be seen in their entirety below. You’ll need 1,000 Murkoff Coins to unlock the rewards tree, and you can do so by exchanging Stamps in the standard Catalog for coins, among other rewards.

Stamps are earned in the game’s new robust challenge system, which includes daily, weekly, and limited-time event challenges, as well as some one-offs that are permanently tied to your account, such as unlocking and fully upgrading each of the game’s cooldown abilities called Rigs.

The highlight of the Catalog are the trio of skins. On the first page, Taut Binding has shades of a detective, but the creepy mask–an Outlast staple–twists his purposes into something darker. On Page 5 of the Catalog, the Black Bag Tattler calls back to the Zodiac Killer in my opinion, which is already scary enough, but Outlast always goes big, and here that’s accomplished with his backpack that seems to be tallying kills.

Arguably the spookiest of all the Catalog’s skins is Mrs. Maloney, unlocked on Page 8. The doll-like face makes her almost a cousin to the game’s iconic villain, Mother Gooseberry. Both are tapping into childhood innocence and warping them to ends that will make you squirm. Check out all the Catalog rewards for yourself below.
